Mission statement
The Québec Federation of Parents’ Committees inc. (QFPC) brings together the parents of students of Québec’s public elementary and secondary schools, and particularly, some 50,000 parents involved in the various participatory bodies, namely:
in schools
- Governing Boards
- Parent Participation Organizations
in school boards
- Parents’ Committees
- Advisory Committees on Services for Handicapped Students and Students with Social Maladjustments or Learning Disabilities (CCSEHDAA)
- Advisory Committees on Transportation.
Created in 1974, the QFPC is tasked with serving and supporting the parents of students by:
- giving them the information and training needed for them to participate in school life;
- representing them and expressing their opinions provincially;
- defending their rights and interests within the education system;
- participating in developing education with the other partners
in the education system.
