The QFPC is associated with other organizations with common interests, concerns or positions. By joining forces with them, the QFPC bolsters it own action and positions, hence, its working relations with the following partners:
For a Better Financing of Public Schools...
The FCPQ is a member of the coalition ''Regroupement pour la défense et la promotion de l'école publique''. The principal claim of this coalition is clear: a better financing of public schools. The members of the coalition held a press conference on March 10, 2005 when all the major partners of the education network united their voices to ask the government and the Minister of Education to put an end to the subsidies of private schools and to reinvest these sums in our public system of education".
Le Centre de transfert pour la réussite éducative du Québec (CTREQ)
The President of the QFPC is on the Board of Directors of the CTREQ. The QFPC collaborates with the CTREQ for various projects, notably in 2004, during a campaign (Leur réussite, c’est aussi la nôtre - in French) to raise parents’ awareness about their role in the academic success of their children.
L’Association des services de garde en milieu scolaire du Québec (ASGEMSQ)
The QFPC shares the ASGEMSQ’s concern for quality and accessible childcare services. In 2004, the FCPQ supported the ASGEMSQ in its crusade against an increase in the fees charged to parents (from $5 to $7 a day).
La Fédération des syndicats de l’enseignement du Québec (FSE)
In Fall 2003, the QFPC worked with the FSE to form the Coalition pour réussir l’école , which asked the Government of Québec to ensure that students are provided with sufficient quality educational services, particularly students with special needs.
