Biography
First involved in the boards of CPE and with parental involvement organizations, Gaston Rioux entered, in 2005, the governing board of Havre-Saint-Rosaire-du-Bic elementary school. He is also delegate to the parents’ committee. Now, he is a member of the governing board of Beaux-Séjours elementary school and delegate to the parents' committee, which he is the president since 5 years. Parent Commissioner, member of various committees, Gaston Rioux has been second vice-president of the Quebec Federation of Parents’ Committees for two years. He was elected president in 2011. On professional level, Mr. Rioux is veterinarian since 1979. He is the father of three children.
Few times during the year, the President of Quebec Federation of Parents’ Committees communicate with its members by an electronic newsletter to inform them about the different activities within the life of the Federation and to give them useful information for their role of involved parents.
