ABOUT QFPC

Presidency

Madame Corinne Payne, présidente

Corinne Payne, president
(2015-2019)

Corinne Payne has been actively involved in the world of education since 2002, when her first child started kindergarten. Her desire is to contribute to improving Québec’s public education system by ensuring that education decisions are in children’s best interest. Ms. Payne firmly believes that parent involvement and partnership between parents and other education stakeholders are crucial to the future of our young people and of our public education system.

Corinne Payne was reelected as President of the Federation in June 2017, after serving as President since November 2014. Prior to this, she was Federation Vice-president (2012 to 2014) and General Council Delegate from Seigneurie-des-Mille-Iles school board Parents’ Committee (2010 to 2012). She was a member of the Governing Board of École Au Coeur du boisée, a member of the Parents’ Committee and Parent Commissioner until 2015, all within Seigneurie-des-Mille-Iles school board.

Ms. Payne has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Memorial University in Newfoundland, an attestation of vocational specialization in business entrepreneurship from Centre de formation des nouvelles technologies de Ste-Thérèse and recognized expertise in project management.
