Word from the president – The Year of Mobilization

Kévin Roy, FCPQ’s president

Dear friends,

Happy New Year! I hope you were able to rest during the Holidays, because the Federation is starting the year off strong with the theme of parent mobilization. Our first two Mobilization Days will take place in Saint-Jérôme and Montreal on January 14 and 21, in collaboration with the COFAQ. Local community organizations, the Théâtre Parminou, members of the Federation’s team and the National Ombudsman’s team will be there! Those free events open to all parents are ideal to deepen or to start their implication!

In January, we are also asking parents to answer two surveys (in French):

The anonymous results will help the Federation update its data since two similar surveys were published in 2021. Your answers and the statistics that emerge are important in order to amplify the parents’ voice towards decision makers and the Education network partners. Please share the surveys around you!

We don’t know the orientations and objectives of our minister of Education yet, but challenges abound. We won’t wait to raise parents’ voice on the issues that concern them and to prepare for eventual consultations!

Let us not underestimate the positive influence that parents’ mobilization and appreciation can have!

Have a great start of the year!
